just had to send you the photograph of our little boy. He went to see Santa Claus last

Dear Linda and Richard,
Remy (red) and Zydeco (black) have made our lives
complete. (Yes, my Cajun husband contributed to the naming of our
babies) After losing our poodle of 14 years we never thought we could
replace him. It was a difficult time but you, sweet Linda, made the
transition easy.
From the moment I found your web site after
painstakingly searching for our new puppy, I knew he was going to come
from one of your litters. One of the main reasons I kept coming back
to your site was because of the Christian reference of "Let the Son shine
in." I knew we had a connection! In fact, your website invited
me to take a walk around your farm and meet your family. That also
endeared you to me.
Oh, and the pictures of your babies! Not only do
you have the most BEAUTIFUL color of poodles, they have the BEST
personalities. I know that comes from you breeding and raising them
in your home and around the rest of the family.
I could go on and on about how thrilled I am that God
allowed our paths to cross. I'm grateful that He lead us to you and
that our family is now complete with Remy and Zydeco.
Thank you for being the kind of breeder that cares what
happens to these little creatures and where they will spend the rest of
their lives. If I can be a reference for a prospective family please
let me know or just give them my e-mail and phone number. I've
already told everyone I know about how I grew to love you and your family
long before we had picked up our pups!
Thank you again for your love, trust and friendship.
If you can get a pup-sitter, we'd love to have you and
Richard visit the lovely Emerald Coast of Florida! You'll always
have a place with us!
Blessings,
Shari B.

Thank you so much.
I want you to know, this
is a wonderful dog. Everywhere I go with him people are impressed and I
just am so glad I waited and got what I wanted. He is beautiful. I will
send you a picture soon. His tail dock is perfect. So many poodles have
one too short. And that red hair!!!
Archie is funny on
walks. He is afraid of fire hydrants and growls at them. He has a lovely
proud prancing gait that is beautiful to watch.
Great dog! One of the best I have ever seen for
his size.
Thanks again,

Dear Linda:
Just wait until I can retire! I'm going to be that eccentric old
poodle lady on Chesapeake Street. I'm sure I'll be able to find some way
to divvy up the Social Security and the retirement fund between a menagerie
of Daisy Hill poodles.
My babies are just too wonderful to believe. I used to
talk about my Spiker as my mischievous child, well, Bailey and Zoë are my
angels! Zoë has to find me in the dark and kiss me goodnight each
night...and Bailey takes the place of my alarm clock by kissing each of my
fingers...one by one.
How did you ever make them so sweet?
Love,
Val

Dear Linda and Richard,
I have so much to say about my experience
with Daisy Hill Poodles.
I too was searching and searching on the internet
looking for the right breeder. Then one night I found Daisy Hill, I read
your bio and all about you and your family, that was
it for me. I emailed you asking what you all had available for
puppies. In my emails to you and other breeders during my search, I
opened my request mentioning that I had recently lost my little Emma Lou
and was looking for another mini poodle. Many wrote back and only told
me what they had available. But not you Linda, you were different.
In
your email on Wednesday, December 11, 2002, you wrote: "First of
all, I want to offer my condolences on the loss of your precious Emma
Lou." That was it for me, that's all I needed, "the sign" and
although I have never met you, you are my sister I hold you and Richard
very close to my heart.
With that introduction you won my heart
and I let you pick the right poodle for me. WOW, did I get the Love of
my life or what? My Daisy Hill Red Letter Daze "RUDY" owns my heart.
One year later I asked you about a cutie I saw on your website, Levi,
never thought I'd get another poodle so quickly, but 2 weeks later I
picked Levi up at the airport. You told me it would be a perfect mix for
my Rudy, and you were right...it worked perfectly.
I love you and Richard, I am so blessed that I found you, God was
involved, this I know, this I feel with all my heart.
May God Bless you BOTH for coming into my life.
Thank you for the BEST POODLES in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!
Love,
Nanci

Dear Linda,
I just finished
reading the letter from Nanci, the owner of Rudy and Levi. I have to
wholeheartedly agree with her assessment of both you as a person and your
poodles. In a situation like Nanci's, I found you after losing the love
of my life, my dear Rusty. I guess what impressed me so much, was the
heartfelt message I got from you the following day. You impressed me most
by the fact that you were more concerned about my loss than you were about
immediately replacing my lost poodle. After reading your message, I felt
that I needed to grieve more and not jump right into trying to replace
Rusty. Your message helped me to realize that replacing Rusty was
impossible, but if I was interested in another poodle, you had a variety
to choose from. I did not feel any pressure from you.
For this, I
give you my first "Thank you"!
As the next
eight months passed by, I would occasionally be reminded of Rusty.
Something as simple as hearing a distant bark, a shadow passing by or the
click of my other dogs toenails on the hardwood floor and I would be
reminded of him. My heart would sink and I would miss him so. Often when
this would happen, I would start searching the internet for another Red
poodle. EVERY time, I would start a search, I would be reminded of your
email. I would find it, open it, read it and then follow the link to the
Daisy Hill Poodle site. I just seem drawn to you. I did not know what it
was with your site. It was very comforting to come and look but I could
not make myself contact you again.. I guess I felt that if I actually
talked to you about it, it would mean that I had accepted Rusty's death
and I just wasn't ready to do that.
Well, fast
forward to November. While tending to Rusty's grave,
and talking with him, I told him that I knew I could never replace
him, but that I missed the way he would snuggle up with me and the warm
friendly welcome he always gave me. I told him I was ready to move
on. The oddest thing happened. I felt a peace come over me. I did
not feel guilty. I had made up my mind. I was going to get myself a
Daisy Hill poodle.
Still timid
about talking about Rusty, I told my son Carl and my friend Ted that I
wanted a Daisy Hill Red for Christmas. So, between Carl's
encouragement, Ted's and my emails and phone calls to you, we have
exceeded our expectations. I did not get my Daisy Hill Red for
Christmas.
I got my Daisy
Hill Red Miniature and My Daisy Hill Jet Black Toy for Thanksgiving!
I could not be happier.
It had to be
some sort of Divine intervention that drew me back to you at just the
right time to adopt two of the most wonderful adult poodles, ever. Simon
Says Red (Simon) is just the most beautiful Red and Knight MacArthur (Mac)
is the Blackest Black I have ever seen. They both have different
personalities, but they are both two of the sweetest, smartest dogs I have
ever owned. They fit in so well with our family. Although they respect
the other human and canine members of our family, I can't help but feel
they are partial to me. Could it be the fact that they are my constant
shadows? If I am sitting, they are sitting, If I am walking, they are
right behind me. They occasionally stray from my side to eat, play or go
outside, but they always come back to me. Simon stretches on my leg to be
picked up and Mac bounces like a rubber ball to get my attention. They
are just the best.
For them, I give you my second "Thank You".
Simon still
sleeps in his crate. He does not seem to care for the bed, just yet.
MacArthur already sleeps on the bed. He sleeps through the night, curled
right up against my neck. I feel like I am sleeping with a fur stole.
These boys have
been through a lot in the past few days, but they seem to take it all in
stride. Like everything that has happened was meant to be. This in it's
self is a testament to the way they were raised. I can tell they were
raised with Love and Patience.
Linda and
Richard, for parting with two fellows that you obviously had grown to
Love and Respect so much and for taking such good care of them and
preparing them for their life with me, I give you my third "Thank you"!
I look forward
to speaking with you soon and to always be part of the Daisy Hill Family.
With Love,
Wayne, Ted, Carl
(And of course, Kelsey, Abbey, Teddy, Simon and MacArthur)
